The next major event will be Brooke Hampton and Ryan Hartness competing in a Piano Competition on February 7.  The competition will be held Riceland Hall in the Fowler Center.  The public is invited to the afternoon concert.

Welcome back to Piano!  Dates to remember are the Master Class on Sunday, November 9 at 3:00 p.m.   The master class will be at my home and last approximately 30 minutes.  The recital is on Saturday, November 22 at 5:30.  The recital will be at the First United Methodist Church in Paragould.  The public is invited to attend.

Piano students performed at First United Methodist Church in Paragould on Saturday, May 17, 2014.
Students performing were:  Garrett Brown, Bayleigh Baldwin, Megan Riggs, Grace Goodman, Libby Milligan, Madden Russom, Rikki Gramling, Rylee Branch, Emily Hampton, Caydance Petty, Carlee Weatherford, Abby Stevens, Karlee Jo McCarty, Carson Blake Dickson, Karlie Thompson, Holly Blair Benson, Ryan Hartness, Jenna Rogers, Brooke Hampton, and Anna Clara May. 

PIANO RECITAL

Students will be performing in a recital Saturday, May 17th at First United Methodist Church.  Students will perform pieces they will play at the 2015 Junior Festival.  Students performing in the recital are:  Bayleigh Baldwin, Holly Blair Benson, Rylee Branch, Garrett Brown, Carson Blake Dickson, Grace Goodman, Rikki Gramling, Brooke Hampton, Emily Hampton, Ryan Hartness, Payton Howe, Anna Clara May, Karlee Jo McCarty, Libby Milligan, Caydance Petty, Megan Riggs, Carlley Riggan, Jenna Rogers, Madden Russom, Abby Stevens, Emily Thomas, Karlie Thompson, and Carlee Weatherford.
The recital begins at 5:30 and there will be an awards program following the performances.
The public is invited to the free concert!

Students were judged at the National Federation of Music Clubs  Junior Festival at Arkansas State University on March 1, 2014. The festival is sponsored by The Treble Clef Club of Jonesboro.  I was festival chairperson for the 2014 event. 

31 trophies and 2 medals were won at the event on March 1.  Students who won a trophy (Superior rating)  in the piano division were:  Blake Dickson, Jenna Rogers, Anna Clara May, Holly Blair Benson, Abby Stevens,  Karlee Jo McCarty, Phoebe Harris, Ryan Hartness, and Libby Milligan.

Students who won trophies (Superior rating) in the theory examination division were:
Henry Thompson, Jackson Hicks, Ryan Hartness, Rylee Branch, Carlee Weatherford, Abby Stevens, Megan Riggs, Emily Thomas, Karlee Jo McCarty, Caydance Petty, Anna Clara May, Jenna Rogers, Phoebe Harris, Karlie Thompson, Grace Goodman, Holly Blair Benson, Madden Russom, Emily Hampton, Garrett Brown, Payton Howe, and Bayleigh Baldwin. 

Medal Winners (Excellent rating) in the theory division were  Brooke Hampton and Rikki Gramling.

The Junior Festival will be held at Arkansas State University on Saturday, March 1.  Piano students will be performing solo pieces and taking theory examinations. The festival is sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs.
